These measures are undertaken to keep your vehicle up to date and to uphold the highest standards of safety and product integrity. To maintain the highest safety and quality standards, Mercedes Benz India proactively initiates Voluntary Recall measures based on product investigations, research insights, and global development learnings. Additionally, Mandatory Recalls may be conducted as required under the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and corresponding Rules.


When a Recall measure Voluntary or Mandatory is identified, Mercedes Benz India promptly notifies the relevant authorities in accordance with statutory requirements. Following this, customers whose vehicles are potentially affected are contacted directly via their registered email address with Mercedes- Benz, providing details of the Recall and clear guidance on the next steps.

Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd. Recall Process

• Road and Environment Safety are of paramount importance to Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd. (MB India). MB India, based on their product investigation, product research and development, undertakes various Voluntary Recall measures in order to ensure road & environment safety, quality and reliability of our world-renowned cars. In addition to the same, MB India, as may be required by the applicable laws including Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and relevant Rules made there under, may undertake Mandatory Recall.

• Upon identification of a Voluntary/Mandatory Recall Measure (Recall), MB India immediately informs about such Recall to the relevant Designated Officer and/or any other officials/ authorities (Authorities) as may be required by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and any relevant laws in force for the time being

• Upon sending such information to the Authorities, the Customers are intimated of such Recall along with the next steps to be followed via letters/calls/e­ mails. While MB India willsend out communication regarding the same to the Customers directly, Customers can visit the recall section on www.mercedes­ benz.co.in to check if their vehicle is subject to any Recall.

• MB India shallthen endeavor that the identifiedRecall is successfully implemented for all the affected vehicles via its Authorized Dealer network.

• Closure of the Recall activity shallbe effectively managed and monitored by MB India with anendeavor to achieve 100% Recall rate, wherever possible.
