Our partnership with Society for Action in Community Health (SACH), in the E-waste Management Project is making significant strides towards environmental stewardship. Spanning from FY 2023-24 to FY 2024-25, this two-year project aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of electronic waste and promote responsible disposal practices across diverse communities. Our targeted outreach includes collecting and processing 90 tons of e-waste and conducting awareness sessions in more than 600 cohorts across four metro cities: Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. As of now, we have successfully collected 30 tons+ of e-waste for further processing, marking substantial progress towards our goal. Through these efforts, we are not only mitigating environmental hazards but also fostering a culture of sustainability among stakeholders.

Our Solar Panel Installation Project, in collaboration with Sakal Social Foundation, aims to enhance sustainability in 102 schools across Pune, Nagar, Nashik, Kolhapur, Satara, and Solapur districts. By installing 5KW on-grid solar panels and 5KVA inverters, the project addresses frequent power outages and high electricity costs, ensuring a reliable power source for essential school equipment such as water pumps, lights, and computers. This initiative not only improves the learning environment by providing consistent power and supporting e-learning but also fosters environmental responsibility and generates economic benefits through excess energy contributions to the MSEB grid. The project highlights a significant advancement in educational infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and economic savings.

We have partnered with Shashwat Trust for the Water Conservation Project, with an aim to address water scarcity in Khed and Ambegaon Taluka by constructing nine large water storage tanks with capacities of over 710,000 liters each. Running through FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24, this initiative also includes the construction small canals and a 550-meter pipeline for irrigation. The project mitigates water shortages caused by rising populations and summer droughts, enhancing irrigation for agriculture and supporting second cropping for farmers. By storing rainwater, the project ensures a reliable water supply, improves local water tables, promotes soil conservation, and boosts agricultural productivity, ultimately contributing to food security and community resilience.

Our partnership with Shashwat Trust for the Afforestation and Restoration of Degraded Forest project, focuses on rejuvenating vegetation on degraded private lands in Khed and Ambegaon Tehsil. Running through FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24, this initiative aims to restore natural habitats, conserve local ecosystems, and create sustainable economic opportunities for the community. Addressing issues such as overexploitation and land degradation, the project involves training local residents in essential forestry practices and planting economically beneficial species. This approach not only enhances biodiversity and provides long-term income through timber and fruit production but also fosters community engagement and environmental stewardship, contributing to both ecological and economic sustainability.
