Pune: India’s most desirable luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz today announced strong sales performance for 2025, buoyed by the success of the core segment and overwhelming demand for its Top-End Vehicles, including the AMGs and the BEV portfolio. Highlights 2025 Sales Performance:

• Mercedes-Benz India delivered 19,007 units in CY 2025 (19,565 units in CY 2024). Best-ever year in terms of revenue.

The service integrates multiple charging partners, offers real-time charger availability, seamless payment solutions and charging history tracking. Customers must activate ‘MB.CHARGE Public’ and ‘Display of charging station services’ via the Mercedes-Benz app or OneWeb portal with their existing Mercedes me ID.

With more than 350,000 active users and over 3.3 million charging points worldwide, the network has already proven its scale, reliability, and customer acceptance across multiple markets. Today, MB.CHARGE Public is available in 37 countries, offering widespread accessibility and a consistent charging experience wherever customers travel.
 

MB.CHARGE Public, provides the customers with a complete end-to-end integration flow, right from finding a charging point to the payment process, all in a single ecosystem. Customers can now charge their EV across 9000+ DC charging points in India, as Mercedes-Benz has partnered with multiple charge point operators including Jio BP, Chargezone, Chargemod, Zeon charging and all Mercedes-Benz dealership chargers.
 

The service offers convenient authentication options—via the Mercedes-Benz app, or with the MB.CHARGE Public RFID card—before charging. Exact prices per kilowatt-hour as well as the estimated cost to reach the maximum charge level are displayed. Each charging process is billed by a payment link automatically via SMS and e-mail after the charging session is completed. Customers can conveniently pay via all payment options including credit/debit cards, all UPI apps.

Designed to modernize operations and elevate customer experience, SKYLine digitizes the entire service lifecycle from booking to delivery through real-time data integration, streamlined workflows, and unified backend operations. The result is enhanced operational efficiency, transparency, and a premium, brand-aligned experience for both customers and dealers.

 

Now live across all dealerships in India, SKYLine marks a transformational shift from legacy infrastructure to a cutting-edge decentralized architecture. Powerful Performance:

The G 450d is powered by all new six-cylinder inline diesel with a 48-volt on-board electrical system and an integrated starter generator (ISG), providing support at lower engine speeds with an additional 15 kW. The unit delivers 270 kW and torque of 750 Nm. From a standstill, the G 450d accelerates to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 210 kmph.

 

Distinctive Design:

The G 450d features the classic G-Class silhouette, with a new radiator grille with four horizontal louvres instead of the previous three. In addition, there are redesigned front and rear bumpers with the front ones featuring a new refreshed look. The MBHX combines four powerful indicators to provide a holistic view: Mercedes-Benz sales and the number of new entrants on the Hurun India Rich List 2024 as proxies for luxury consumption and entrepreneurial confidence; the performance of the BSE Sensex as a reflection of investor sentiment; and India’s GDP growth as the foundation of economic strength.

 

The index has shown a strong upward trajectory in recent years, underscoring an accelerated cycle of wealth creation. Despite global uncertainties, high-end consumption, entrepreneurial success, and robust economic fundamentals have come together to drive momentum.

MBHX Confirms India’s Wealth Creation Is Real

The Nominal and Real MBHX move almost parallel, showing only a small gap between them. This tells us that inflation in India over this period was moderate and well-managed, averaging around 4–6% annually. Unlike high-inflation economies, where nominal measures are heavily distorted, most observed wealth creation in India came from genuine economic expansion, stock market growth, and new billionaire wealth, not simply rising prices.

 

In other words, the MBHX confirms that India’s wealth creation story since 2017 has been real, sustainable, and largely inflation-resilient.

The company with the Three-Pointed Star further strengthened its BEV portfolio in India by launching a world-class BEV that combines luxury and technology in a futuristic and progressive SUV proportion: the EQS SUV 580 4MATIC. 

 

With the EQS SUV 580 4MATIC, Mercedes-Benz offers six BEV across the portfolio comprising the EQA, EQB, EQE SUV, EQS SUV, EQS sedan and the ultra-luxury Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV 680. Mercedes-Benz also announced the start of local production of the EQS SUV 580 4MATIC from its state-of-art manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. India becomes the first market outside USA, to start the local production of the EQS SUV 580, anywhere in the world. The EQS SUV 580 4MATIC will be the second locally manufactured BEV in India from Mercedes-Benz after the EQS 580 luxury sedan. Mercedes-Benz accomplishes the distinction of being the only luxury car manufacturer in India, to locally produce two world-class BEVs from its production facility.
