Terms and Conditions of the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Program for Mercedes-Benz Customers
Participation
1. The terms and conditions below are valid at the time of printing, however the terms which will be applied at the time of the respective workshop visit (repair/work order), will also apply to that visit. Please read these terms carefully before you agree to proceed.
2. Participation in the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Program (hereinafter referred to as "Program") is voluntary and begins upon receipt of the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Membership Card in the Mercedes-Benz Portal. To register for this program and receive the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Membership Card, the customer will require a Mercedes-Benz account and will need to follow the instructions therein to subscribe to ‘Service Select’.
3. For the registration in the Program the following prerequisites apply:
a) the vehicle is older than 7 years (according to first registration date) and
b) the vehicle is part of the Service Select portfolio covered by Mercedes-Benz.
Only following model series are included in the program:
- A-Class (Model series 176)
- B-Class (Model series 246)
- CLA (Model series 117)
- GLA (Model series 156)
- C-Class (Model series 203, 204,205)
- E-Class (Model series 211, 212,213)
- GLC (Model series 253)
- ML/GL (Model series 164, 166)
- GLE/GLS (Model series 166)
Following model series are excluded from the program: AMGs, Battery electric vehicles, S-Class, V-Class, G-Class, SL-Series, CL-Series.
4. The program can be utilized only by private/ individual customers. Program shall not be applicable to any vehicle utilized for commercial purposes, including, without limitation, fleet operations, leasing arrangements, or rental activities.
5. Service Select Program includes up to 25% Discount on Mercedes-Benz Spare Parts extended by Mercedes- Benz India and some additional recommended discount on Labour charges extended by participating Mercedes-Benz Authorized dealers as per their business interests, during the workshop visit. The discount applies exclusively to the following services:
- Periodic service as per the manufacturer’s recommendations which includes Check/ Replacement of Oil filter, Air filter(s), A/c filter(s), Fuel filter, Transmission filter, Replacement/ Topping-up Engine oil, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, transmission oil, radiator coolant and Adblue (only for Diesel Vehicles) only as per the requirement during periodic service interval defined. Discount on Periodic services will be offered only if vehicle undergoes complete Periodic Service as per manufacturer’s recommendations as mentioned above.
- Complete vehicle inspection & checks as recommended by Mercedes-Benz India.
- Vehicle washing and vacuum cleaning only during the periodic service.
- Inspection and replacement of wear & tear related parts limited only to brake pads, brake discs, brake wear sensors and wiper blades, if required basis technical evaluation.
Service Select Program uses Mercedes-Benz StarParts, a product line specifically developed for select Mercedes-Benz model series and aims for effective functionality and a perfect fit. StarParts supplied by Mercedes-Benz India and replaced on chargeable basis are eligible for spare parts warranty for two years i.e. 24 months from the invoice date and valid only if the failed part was not replaced under warranty. 6. The program is offered exclusively by Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers who are voluntarily participating in the program.
7. Combining the discount granted under the Service Select program with other discounts and/or services offered under any other schemes/campaign by Mercedes-Benz India is not possible.[PV4.1] However, the concerned dealership may offer additional discount at their discretion over and above offered by the Program.
8. Upon issuing a work order, the general repair Terms & conditions of the respective participating Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer would apply
9. Service Select program and benefits including discounts does not include/ cover:
- The rectification of damage caused by:
a. Accidents or external influences including but not limited to flood, earthquake, fire, etc.
b. The use of parts in the vehicle other than genuine Mercedes-Benz spare parts which have not been approved/supplied by an authorized Mercedes-Benz India workshop.
c. The use of oils or other service products in the vehicle which have not been approved/supplied by Mercedes-Benz India or its authorized Dealers.
d. Neglect, misuse, abuse or improper handling of the Vehicle and unauthorized modifications made to a Vehicle by the Customer or any third party.
e. Any deviation in maintenance or usage of the Vehicle as recommended in the owner’s manual.
f. The use of the Vehicle for any application other than normal road use such as for the carriage of goods, or any specialist application, etc. - The repair/ replacement or maintenance of any parts specifically not mentioned in the list of inclusions above.
- Replacement of Tyres including Wheel alignment & Wheel balancing job required during such replacement of tires.
- Any damage to the fuel system parts due to water ingress, adulterated fuel, or foreign objects in the fuel.
- The maintenance and/or repairs of any paint work.
- The carrying out of any modifications required by law.
- Any measures required by the Owner’s Manual for the Vehicle to be carried out in preparing a Vehicle for storage for an extended period of time and the elimination of damage arising out of such extended storage (for example: hose cuts, cracks, deformation of components, etc.).
- The rectification of any damage or other work arising as a consequence of the Customer refusing or failing to make a Vehicle available in the workshop of Mercedes-Benz India authorized Dealer.
- Repairs carried out under any warranty given at the time of sale of the Vehicle.
- Any damages Caused by ‘force majeure’ events such as earthquake, vandalism, etc.
10. Should any additional work requirements be identified by an Mercedes-Benz Authorized dealer during the completion of work under Service Select Program, the customer shall be contacted by the Mercedes-Benz Authorized dealer to request authorization to complete any such additional work, and the Customer will be liable to the Mercedes-Benz Authorized dealer for any such additional costs as agreed – and may not benefit from such similar discounts to that within Service Select Program. The Customer should always refer to the Owner’s Manual of their vehicle for the exact servicing schedule and requirements.
Reservation of Changes
Mercedes-Benz India is entitled to amend or terminate the Mercedes-Benz Service Select program and these terms of participation at any time, including amending the offer, the list of Eligible Model Series, or any other term.
Terms and Conditions as well as Status Information on Participation in the Program
11. Information about the program: Information on automatic renewal, objection, or termination of the program, customer and vehicle data can be viewed, changed, and deleted at any time in your personal Mercedes-Benz account.
12. Duration of the program: The program is currently offered celebrating 140 years of Mercedes-Benz and benefits can be availed on final invoicing until 31st December 2026.
13. Unsubscribing from the program: If you no longer wish to participate in the program, please object to participation in your Mercedes-Benz account or with your participating authorized service partner.
14. Participating Service Select dealers: On your participation certificate you can find a link to the list of participating Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers.
15. If you are no longer the owner of a vehicle registered in your Mercedes-Benz account, your participation in the program may be terminated. New Customer of the vehicle should update the required data in respective ‘Dealers’ system and register for Service Select program on Mercedes-Benz Portal as per his/her discretion.
16. In case, Customer owns multiple/similar vehicle of Mercedes-Benz brand, the program benefits cannot be transferred from one car to another. The Customer will have to register all its eligible cars separately in the Service Select Program.
Data Protection
17. Mercedes-Benz AG uses your data processed within the framework of the program for the performance of the contract concluded with you. The legality of data processing arises from Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR. In this context, Mercedes-Benz AG processes the following personal data: registration and contact data, vehicle data, dealer and participation information.
18. Once you present your digital participation certificate for the program to a participating Mercedes-Benz service partner within the framework of a repair order, this company processes the data collected within the framework of the repair order for the calculation of the intended discount. Selected service providers are also used for this purpose, who process personal data on behalf of the collecting Mercedes-Benz service partner. Furthermore, further use of the data may occur based on any consent you may have given. In this case, the data collected will be used for advertising purposes based on this consent, provided you have expressly agreed to this.
19. The data required for the processing of the program will generally be stored for a maximum of 12 weeks after the end of your participation to enable internal calculation of the specified discount. If this is required due to legal retention obligations or data needed for other purposes in the Mercedes-Benz Portal, your data may be stored for a longer period.
You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal data, to have your data deleted, to assert your right to correct your data, to exercise your right to object, or to exercise your right to data portability. Furthermore, you can always send a complaint to us or the competent supervisory authority.
