Vizag The largest luxury carmaker in India, Mercedes-Benz, today inaugurated it’s first-ever facility in Vizag, expanding its footprint to the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The inauguration of the world-class Silver Star facility, underlines Mercedes-Benz’s customer- centric approach to take the brand closer to its customers. The inauguration also marked the delivery of record 50 cars, the biggest by any luxury carmaker in the state of  Andhra Pradesh. Situated in the heart of the city, the facility will act as one-stop-shop for all the sales and customer service requirements for customers in Vizag and adjoining areas. Mr. Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, and Amith Reddy Nalla, Founder, Silver Star inaugurated the facility.

Mercedes-Benz India is the first Indian carmaker to rollout a BS VI vehicle (S 350d) ‘made in India, for India’ in January 2018. The company now has a complete portfolio of BS VI cars well ahead of the implementation of BS VI regulations from 1.4.2020.
 
Mercedes-Benz India product portfolio comprises the locally produced Mercedes Maybach S 560, S-Class, E-Class Long Wheelbase, C-Class, CLA luxury sedans and the GLA, GLE and the GLS luxury SUVs. The CKD GLC was the ninth product added to MercedesBenz’s local production portfolio.
