Awareness about the health problems in rural parts of India is a major drawback. Access to primary health care facilities and awareness about health issues is lacking in almost all rural parts of Maharashtra. MB India in collaboration with Shashwat Trust initiated basic health check-up camps and treatment facilities to the local people from Khed and Ambegaon taluka, targeting around 3500 beneficiaries from 35 villages. This program has helped in identifying the major health problems amongst the people, especially women. The patients with severe health issues are enabled with treatment facilities at the local hospitals with the help from members of Shashwat Trust. Along with the treatment facilities, the beneficiaries are provided with awareness sessions on health and hygiene practices. Shashwat Trust is also providing training on basic health education, to the selected health workers, who are immediate point of contact in respective villages.
