The German-designed Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is what Petronas, the Silver Arrows' title partner, call homeground. Since its inauguration in Mar 1999, Sepang proudly bears the F1 logo in its name, while hosting world class international race events.
Described as "one of the most technically demanding circuits in the entire Formula 1 championship", the Sepang Circuit has a wide track designed to enable overtaking, an advantageous and thrill - intensifying opportunity for the racers to end up in the podium.
In 2010, the Petronas-partnered Mercedes team hooked the podium with Nico Rosberg finishing at third place. As hoped a year before, no rain fell on the Sepang tracks, which enabled it continue an overtaking-friendly but safe race.
In the same place which is regarded as "Home of Motorsports" for Malaysia, 2011 faces the new season of adventurous turns, straights and overtakes - some of the very elements that stir drivers and teams to push harder - from the 8th to the 10th of April this year.
