In addition to automatic belt tensioners PRE-SAFE® includes; automatic closing of side windows and sliding sunroof. It also fills the air cushions in the newly developed active multi-contour seats within seconds to secure the driver and front passenger in the event of an imminent collision. Furthermore, if the front passenger seat is equipped with a memory package, PRE-SAFE® can move it into the safest possible position in a hazardous situation.

PRE-SAFE® can be activated by events such as emergency braking, heavy oversteer or understeer or rapid steering wheel movements at high vehicle speeds.
