A true measure of power is its control, and the E-Class exhibits exactly the kind of control that impresses, with a slew of innovative systems that support safe driving in many different ways; from the control and display system especially tailored to each individual driver to systems designed to alert and assist the driver in critical situations.

The E-Class incorporates the proven Mercedes brake system that offers assistance functions, such as Hold function and Hill Start Assist, making starting and stopping in difficult conditions safe and easy.

Thanks to an innovative technology, the new E-Class is very sensitive to its driver’s attention level, and warns him or her of drowsiness. This new intuitive ‘ATTENTION ASSIST’ drowsiness detection system is equipped with highly sensitive sensors that continuously monitor more than 70 different parameters. This includes minor steering errors which are often corrected very rapidly in characteristic ways. These corrections are recognised by a highly sensitive steering angle sensor that alarms the driver helping avoid any untoward episode.

The System operates with Ultrasonic sensors, with the 1st & 6th sensors in front helping to guide the vehicle. The system is activated by turning on the indicators; it is also automatically activated by speeds up to 35 km/h.
