Those working with nature reap the benefits: natural materials play an important role in the production of the seat upholstery in the new C-Class Saloon. These consist of 15% pure sheep's wool - the result is an improvement in the moisture absorbtion capability and a positive seat climate. But particularly through the use of renewable raw materials, the use of fossil resources like coal, natural gas and crude oil is curtailed. And: natural materials are almost carbon neutral in terms of energy recovery because the amount of CO2 realeased is equivalent to the amount absorbed by the plant during its growth.
The new C-Class Saloon is constructed to facilitate recycling so that vehicle material waste is avoided as well as taking back the vehicle at the end of its life and the recycling of the vehicle and its components. Technically, a Mercedes was always a shining example for others to follow - the best reason to also be the leader in environmental protection.
